Materials

The Z is a full-carbon shaft constructed with state-of-the-art fibers and an improved resin system. An improved layering schedule allows for more layers of high modulus carbon giving thicker walls and better durability with a minimized weight penalty.

Flight And Ease Of Tune

The Z is made to shoot the same shot.

A proprietary layup schedule is engineered to reduce oscillation and torque caused by variances in tune and shooter form. This translates to tighter groups and better arrow flight.

Best Fletching Practices

For field points and more compact mechanicals 3 medium height or 4 low profile vanes work well.

For fixed heads 4 medium height or 3 high profile vanes will provide sufficient stability.

For extra-large and wide cut fixed heads 4 high profile vanes are recommended.

For best performance always fletch at a 2 to 3 degree helical.

Component Details

The Micro-Cap is a one piece outsert/collar hybrid. It covers the first .875 inches of the shaft and uses the larger diameter collar to provide increased durability over convention internal fit outserts. By passing the threads into the shaft leverage is also decreased resulting in an even stronger front end.

The titanium component (Grade 5) weighs 54 grains and the Aluminum (7075) weighs 34 grains.

All components recieve standard 8-32 threaded points.

You asked. We listened.

Most shooters can expect to save 40-50 grains over their HMR builds and experience a flatter shooting arrow, higher FOC, and improved ease of tune.

TIGHT TOLERANCES & LESS VARIANCE

The techniques used in rolling the shaft minimize the variance from the mandrel to the finished product. Resulting in a more consistent shooting experience.

FAQs

What makes the Z different?

Most arrows are made to bend one way. The reality is, that as an arrow is launched from a high-powered bow it begins to compress, twist, and oscillate. A smarter approach was needed to tame the sheer amount of energy being pushed into the arrow.

The Z uses bisecting fiber orientations at a Near Parallel relationship to offer longitudinal stiffness but also addresses these non-normal forces. The result is an arrow made to recover quickly.

How long does it take to ship?

We typically ship in 1-2 days.

Is the Z durable?

The improved layup schedule of the Z allowed us to hit a middle ground on weight. By using higher modulus fibers with a specialty resin system we were able to decrease the weight without the corresponding durability hit.

Compatibility with other brand's hardware

The Z will fit all .166 ID arrow components. Exact fit will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer depending upon tolerancing.

Why don't you have a lighter arrow?

The Z is the lighter arrow. While there are not plans for a lighter arrow, never say never.
